Morgane Charre joins Pivot Factory Racing

Morgane Charre joins Pivot Factory Racing

We are over the moon to announce that the PFR family is growing by one. Official for 2020, we have signed a 2019 EWS Trophy of Nations Winner – Morgane Charre.

Morgane is one of the most naturally talented riders on a bike. The French racer stormed onto the downhill World Cup circuit in 2012, claiming the World Championship title in Leogang - on flat pedals. In addition to the rainbow stripes, she has landed on nine other World Cup podiums and finished 4th overall in the 2019 Enduro World Series. Morgane grew up riding BMX and dirt jumps, and it shows with her ability to move the bike around and always have a time whilst riding. With this, we can’t think of a better fit for our enduro team. Morgane will focus on the Enduro World Series but throw in a few downhill and Crankworx events. We have signed Morgane for the next three seasons and I can't wait to see what she accomplishes aboard her new Pivots.

After much online unrest, we’d like to make official confirmation that Eddie Masters IS staying aboard Pivot Factory Racing - not only for 2020, but we snagged him for another three years. Kiwi, Matt Walker also returns to Pivot Factory Racing. Ed and Matt plan to race the Enduro World Series, DH World Cups, and Crankworx.

Long-time PFR member, Emilie Siegenthaler will continue with the team, focusing on downhill World Cups and Crankworx events once she fully rebounds from her recent ACL injury. Emi plans to make her comeback at either the Fort William or Andorra World Cup.

Anyone pondering what I have in store for 2020? Well with no surprise, I am back fulltime to riding my pedal bikes after my failed attempt at #prAy1. Like usual, you will see me at the World Cups, Crankworx and if all goes as planned, Redbull Hardline.

Let the good times roll, get out there and ride your bike! XO

Team Vitalo Future Cycling Season Wrap-up

The second half of the season was full of racing with the biggest goals of 2019 – National Championships and the World Championship in marathon. Czech national championship in marathon where our duo dominated, taking first (Martin) and second (Kristian). For Martin, it was his first-ever National title, Kristian as a defending champion arrived very close behind. Martin Stošek also took part in the National championship in cross-country and got a silver medal! This was followed by another dominant performance at Dolomiti Superbike – probably the biggest and one of the most prestigious marathon races in Europe with around 5 thousand participants. Martin and Kristian finished 1st and 2nd again, two riders from the same team, something that in the 25-year history of this race has happened only twice.

Additional to this Martin continued his winning streak at the Kolo pro Život series, he made it 5 out of 5. However, the biggest achievement arrived at the most important race of the year, World Championship that took place in Switzerland on a very demanding track. Kristian and Martin focus on this and gave the preparation everything. They had an altitude training camp in Livigno and spent additional days at Swiss to pre-ride the course and choose the right equipment. After 2 bronze medals (2012 and 2016) Kristian Hynek celebrated for the first time in his career the silver medal and the gold was really very very close. Until the last meters he fought with the Columbian Paez and at the finish line, the time difference was only 26 seconds! Martin confirmed his amazing first ever marathon season and finished 7th. At the very end of the season, Kristian and Martin traveled to Brasil to race the Brasil Ride stage race. They finished in 4th place overall and gained important experiences, which will be very useful for the upcoming 2020 season and that one is going to be epic, more details to come!

Reynolds and BEAT Cycling Club roll into 2020

BEAT Cycling Team Tour de Rhonde

Reynolds Cycling's partnership with BEAT Cycling Club rolls into 2020 with plenty of momentum and an eye on the Tokyo Olympics.

The 2020 roster gets a bit of a shakeup with the addition of Jan Willem van Schip and the departures Piotr Havik and Martijn Budding. The 25-year-old van Schip, who is active on both the track and the road, will rely on the BEAT structure, with a UCI Continental road team and a UCI track team, to prepare to compete for an Olympic medal in Tokyo next summer. In 2019 van Schip won a stage in the Baloise Belgium Tour on the road and was crowned world champion in the points race on the track.

“Jan-Willem is one of the most talented riders in the Netherlands, both on the track and on the road. He deserves a good environment to demonstrate his value next year, and we are very happy to offer him that within BEAT,” said BEAT co-founder Geert Broekhuizen.

In other roster news, Piotr Havik and Martijn Budding will pursue their racing careers elsewhere in 2020. Reynolds and BEAT are grateful for their efforts over the past few years and wish them the best in their future endeavors.

Stay tuned for additional updates to the team roster coming soon

BEAT Cycling Club recently hosted the first Dutch National Championships for Status Holders on a rain soaked course in Rotterdam. Organized with the help of NLTraining, the Dutch Status Holder Championships are part of ongoing efforts to help refugees integrate into Dutch society, and what better way than to introduce participants to the vibrant national cycling culture.

NLTalent/Beat Cycling racer Samuel Gebremskel was crowned Dutch National Champion for Status Holders with an explosive final sprint after a race packed with attacks. But the slick course in Rotterdam was not the most difficult challenge that he's faced. Samuel arrived in The Netherlands in 2015, having left unsafe conditions in his home country of Eritrea. Traveling with 30 other refugees, sometimes at the mercy of smugglers; Samuel journeyed across Sudan, Libya, the Mediterranean Sea and Europe to The Netherlands where he applied for and received asylum. As a temporary status holder, he's been working with NLTraining to learn the Dutch language and acquire job skills as bicycle mechanic. Reynolds Cycling, BEAT Cycling and NLTraining are excited to congratulate and support Samuel and all the racers for their efforts on and off the racecourse.

Racing and training on the windy roads and cobbles of northern Europe, BEAT Cycling depends on the traction, durability and crosswind stability of the Reynolds AR series.
